The Bald and the Beautiful

-So. I don't usually like drawing bald people but this one worked for me! It definitely could be better, but I think I'm moving in the right direction with my shading. I like the sweatshirt folds too.

An Infant Shadow

-I know this one is a bit different, but I really enjoy drawing silhouettes...and baby silhouettes are the best. I love his little hand.

The Beleaguered Braid

-This poor braid was going every which way and was probably so confused and beleaguered (SAT word...bam).
-I really love the pose of this picture and how the angles worked out. Special thanks to Allison for letting me wreak havoc on her hair...this is her THIRD time on the blog now. Woah.

Doodles in the Dark: Part II

-I really don't like this one, but I like how you can see the empty rows. The deep perspective is interesting.

Doodles in the Dark: Part I

-So I drew this in a very very dark room but I like how it turned out! I really like the overlap of lines and randomness of them. The hat is cool too.

The Intelligence of Boredom

-This guy was probably totally enjoying the lecture on quantum physics, but his body language spoke otherwise. Anyway, I enjoyed it and enjoyed the placement of his hand.
-I tried to capture the golf cap of his neighbor in the next row but I ran out of paper. Dang.

(Un)Forgettable Closeness

-This drawing is just sort of boring. I tried to get some cool detail out of the very extensive part in her hair but it just didn't work.
-One thing that was not forgettable was just how close the couple sat! In every arrangement, they seemed to be glued together, hence their inseparable shirts.

A Story of Two Tails

-I only just noticed the two tails in this drawing: the ponytail and the tail of the coat sketch. Sometimes I'm intentional...this was not that time. I also like the subtle flow of her shirt.

The Ebb and Flow of Symmetry

-Her hair looked like individual streams and were in perfect waves! Impressive. I like how the hair overwhelms the drawing.

A Furrowed Beanie

-I wish I had spent a longer time working on his beanie and maybe also on the wrinkles in his shirt. They remind me of a furrowed bro...maybe.

Hashtag: Hair Full of Heart

-I didn't realize the heart in her hair or the hashtags in her blazer until after I finished! Good times.
-I like the unintentional fade of her hair and its subtle creep along her back.

The Curves of a Creature

-So this is a dramatic translation of what was sitting in front of me. It certainly doesn't look like my model but I had fun with the long, curved neck and bony shoulder. Let's not forget the weird swirly hair/hat thing.

Etchings of Shade

-Please click on this one so that you can see the little etchings in detail of the larger image. I love the idea of shading through the line etchings so I really like how this drawing came out!
-Yes, the desk in front of him is floating...deal with it.

A Bold Combing

-Usually I avoid replicating the words seen on a figure, but these ones were so loud that I couldn't avoid it. Unfortunately, the words steal the spotlight from his combed hairdo...which I liked.
