The Christmas Capture

-I like the perspective for this one and the fact that everyone else is looking at one thing in particular...the tree at Rockefeller Center.
-Photo credit to my sister Amanda for capturing this Christmasy moment.

Baby Beluga

-I honestly don't know why I called this one Baby Beluga...
-The shadows that fell on his little back are my favorite part of the drawing and his eagerness to see what's outside :).
-I found this picture by searching #backofhead on Instagram and felt the need to draw it!

Tendrils and a Furry Collar

-So many stripes in this one! I like her furry collar and the fact that the bottom of her hair looks like tendrils that are seeping out of the collar.
-Grace Church Smithtown (NY) on December 16th, 2012

A Bland Striping

-This one is most definitely not my favorite. Both my pencil and paper were fighting against each other and it just came out bland. The scanner also hated it...good times.
-Stony Brook University (NY) on November 16th, 2012

Itchy and Scratchy

-I think I got bored with this one and so I added some scratchy flair to the whole thing. I don't know what was happening on his left shoulder though...
-Stony Brook University (NY) on November 15th, 2012

A Slender Necking

-I liked her broad back compared to her slender little neck. Also I tried to capture the little frizzies of her hairstyle without making it look too messy.

A Bun Unscarfed

-So this was the last drawing of a long day and I kind of gave up on any effort. Her scarf was pretty cool so I wish I had tried to make it actually look like leopard print. Too late now!
-Stony Brook University RA Conference on November 10th, 2012

Feathered Hair with a Twist

-His hair looked soft so I was trying to get that down on paper. The swirls on his shirt mean that I was getting pretty tired of drawing and just tired of the day. Also the words on his screen are real and by real I mean scribbles.
-Stony Brook University RA Conference on November 10th, 2012

The "Red" Jacket

-I had a pretty great model for this one. She was wearing a great red jacket too...wish I could have somehow portrayed that in the drawing.
-Stony Brook University RA Conference on November 10th, 2012

Downcast at Table 19

-I don't really like this drawing one but I have to put them all on here. I like how bored/sad they looked during the lecture we were at. also that is not human hair on the table...my bad.
-Stony Brook University RA Conference (NY) on November 10th, 2012

The Hood of all Hoods

-That sweatshirt looked real comfortable especially during such a boring class...

A Mover and a Shaker

-This guy never stopped moving, not even for a second. I think my frustration made its way onto the page...
-Stony Brook University (NY) on November 6th, 2012.

Now that's a Glossy Bob

-'Glossy' and 'bob' make the weirdest word combination. But her bob was in fact quite glossy. I liked her little rainbow sweater too.
-Grace Church in Smithtown (NY) on November 4th, 2012.

Curvacious Chairs and Baseball Hats

-I wish I had spent more time making their hats pretty... oh well. Also those chairs were quite curvacious.
-Stony Brook University (NY) on October 25th, 2012.

Marker-Filled Magic

-My very first drawing with markers! It was either a marker or a pen...marker won. And points to Allison, for having such a lovely and non-moving back ;).

Criss-Cross Apple Sauce?

-Three people = lack of detail across the board, but I liked the simplicity of the criss-cross lady.
-Grace Church in Smithtown (NY) on October 14th, 2012.

A Graphical Gradient

-The hood isn't my favorite...or the hat for that matter, but I like the graphical gradient.
-Stony Brook University (NY) on October 10th, 2012.

Curly Q and Curly Sue

-She was such a precious little lady with such random curly hair. I loved it.
-Grace Church in Smithtown (NY) on October 7th, 2012.

Wide Open Spaces...or Backs

-Really wish I could have finished this one, but I liked the foundations enough to publish it.
-Stony Brook University (NY) on October 3rd, 2012.

A Dangling Earbud and Backpack Buddy

-His backpack never left him. Not even for a second. But I liked his hair and dangling earbud.
-Stony Brook University (NY) on September 20th, 2012. This drawing got a bit lost...

An Intrinsic Yarmulke

This guy wasn't actually wearing a yarmulke, but the exaggerated cowlick gives it that sort of look. I love his ear...it's real.
-Stony Brook University (NY) on October 1, 2012

A Few Strands of Family

I love the man's hair and the folds of his suit on his arm. I met them and this is an uncle and his niece.
-Grace Church in Smithtown (NY) on September 30, 2012

Pinky, the Fashionable Twinky

Loved the fashionable collar on this one and the gradient of her hair. @pinkytwinkeee
-Aldephi University (NY) on September 29, 2012

An Emphatic Shirt

I wish I spent more time on his hair and especially his ears, but the folds of the shirt just took over.
-Stony Brook University (NY) on September 28, 2012

Locks and Shock

I got all flowy with Goldilocks on the left and then things got quite intense on the right.
-Stony Brook University (NY) on September 27, 2012

A Deviant Hoodie

I most definitely elaborated with this hoodie. I got quite bored.
-Stony Brook University (NY) on September 24, 2012.

The Pointed Blade

His shoulder was really that sharp, I promise... I think.

A Stable Table and Anchored Arms

Really happy with how this one came out. I think it's the table and the anchored arms. Floating arms bother me.
-Stony Brook University (NY) on September 17, 2012

Dang, A Distracting Shirt

So I really like how the hair came out, but my bad shading job for the shirt is distracting from the hair. Don't be distracted.
-Stony Brook University (NY) on September 13, 2012

A Wavy Doodle

There was a two-toned shirt and a crappy pencil happening. This is not my favorite.
-Stony Brook University (NY) on September 11, 2012

Shadowy Shape Shifters

This is most definitely a deviation from the norm, but technically it works because I drew the back of a few people, sort of. The photo I copied had some incredible shadow shapes that I wanted to capture.
-Drawn on September 9, 2012 with photo credit to patricklowell #instagram.

Anna the Track Star

I'm guessing her name is Anna because it was embroidered onto her jacket, right underneath her hair. Does she run track? I have no idea.
-Grace Church in Smithtown (NY) on September 9, 2012

What a Mother

Didn't get so far on this one, but I blame it on the fact that she was intensely massaging her daughter's shoulder the whole time. It was quite distracting.
-Orchard Park Wesleyan Church (NY) on September 2nd, 2012

An Arrangement of Straps

She had quite an interesting arrangement of straps. I think I got so preoccupied with them that I forgot about her hair. I am not a fan of my rendition of it.

Bewitching Braids

I had a lot of fun drawing these braids, despite the fact that they make me dizzy if I look at them for too long.
-Stony Brook University (NY) on August 21st, 2012

Happy Burger King Crown

This was kind of a rushed drawing, but I'm glad I got the silly crown in there.
-Stony Brook University (NY) on August 20th, 2012

A Little Messenger Bag

Definitely not my favorite drawing, but I was trying to capture how tiny she was.
-Stony Brook University (NY) on August 20th, 2012

Little Boy and Curly Sue

Love this one and how they look like little kiddies when they are actually grown up. Check out the rad propeller hat.
-Stony Brook University (NY) on August 20th, 2012

50 Shades of Pencil (no reference to the book...awkward)

I like the varying shades of darkness throughout this one.
-Stony Brook University on August 19th, 2012

A Stony Brook Fade

I like how he decided to take over two seats. More to draw = more to love...right?
-Stony Brook University (NY) on August 17th, 2012

Hipster Bun

Glad I got a shot at this trendy tower of hair.
-Stony Brook University (NY) on August 17th, 2012

Broad Shoulders and a Bun

He was moving around a lot, but his shoulders were actually that broad.
-Stony Brook University (NY) on August 17th, 2012

The Original Turban

Got to draw a turban for the very first time and it was quite wonderful :).
-Stony Brook University (NY) on August 17th, 2012

Swirl-a-Whirl

Just adding a little swirl to her normal, black shirt.

The Unproportional Sleepyhead

Alright so I didn't get all the proportions right, but to my credit his head was barely still because he was nodding off to sleep every 2 seconds.
-Battelle Auditorium (WA) on July 31st, 2012

Some Locks and Dreads

I love that he had such glamorous locks and she had some badass dreads.
-Battelle Auditorium (WA) on July 24th, 2012

Crispy with a Floating Arm

Despite the fact that her arm is nonexistent, I really enjoyed drawing her shirt. It looked so crispy.
-EMSL (WA) on July 23rd, 2012

Another Pen Fail.

It was just blah altogether.
-EMSL (WA) on July 23rd, 2012

A Pen Success

This is the first pen drawing that I have ever liked...ever. Sweet.
-EMSL (WA) on July 23rd, 2012

Slouched Slanting

I'm not sure why he was leaning so far but I think he may have been sleeping...
